On my last few trips to the grocery store I realized something, I’m getting service. Now up until a few months ago, I thought customer service was dead, but I was wrong.
With the large companies laying off countless people, we have seen a change in the quality of employee’s. Not only do people want to work, they want to work hard, and they enjoy the work, because they appreciate the fact that a job is not something to take lightly, it can disappear when you least expect.
So maybe these tough economic times are exactly what was need around the world to give us back the fabled “customer service”. To make us work hard at everything we do, because we just never know what’s going to happen tomorrow.
I pride myself on making my clients happy and working hard for them.
Call me today to find out how hard I work for my clients.

Every time you turn on the TV or open a newspaper, the news appears grim. The economy is suffering; even corporations are requiring buyouts to be able to continue to do business. Why on earth would one consider buying a new home in this economic climate?
The truth is, BC is predicted to maintain a pretty healthy economy in these tough times. The housing market, which has taken a hit throughout the province, however, has also been impacted in the Kootenay. The latest statistics gathered by the Kootenay Real Estate board throughout 2008 show that the number of detached residential units available for purchase is at its highest level since 2001 while the number being sold is the lowest since 1995. Due to the laws of supply and demand - this can only mean one thing - those looking to purchase a home at this time are going to reap the rewards of the downward turn in the market.
As further proof of this buyer’s market, the British Columbia Real Estate Association indicates that residential sales dollar volume in BC for 2008 was down a whopping 67% over 2007 figures. So, what does this all mean for you? Well, experts say that the current real estate market represents a fantastic opportunity to purchase a great new home at a bargain price. Those looking to buy at this time are able to benefit from a greater selection of available homes, more time to really investigate their options and the luxury of negotiating attractive prices.
An article on Ozzie Jurock’s (BC’s best known real estate consultant and investor) website states that “the best deals come in down markets. On the way up, risk increases every day. On the way down, it decreases every day.”
I have a passion for helping people find exactly what fits their housing needs and believe in providing an honest and up front approach. This has earned me the trust of my clients. Let me help you take advantage of this great buyers market and find you a great deal to call home.

From The Globe and Mail
Canada may be in for a surge in home purchases. The reason, the government will stop guaranteeing 40 year and zero down mortgages starting October 15.
This means that those that don’t have 5% down will likely try to get into the market before the new rules take effect. The rush will lead up to the October 15th deadline then slow again after the deadline.
The Federal government said it was making these changes to strengthen the housing market and to protect against a U.S style housing bubble.
In the long run this will be an important step for Canadians and the over-all housing market, although it will get thougher for families to invest in there first home, the risk of foreclosure will drop and as a result make our economy stronger.
So is now the time to get into the housing market, there is no good answer for that. You’re the only person that can decide. Yes, the lax measures right now make it much easier and should be taken advantage of, but if your financial situation doesn’t allow for the responsibilities of owning and managing a home, then keep on saving until the time is right.
